At Down the Vets, we believe that veterinary fees should be transparent, fair and easy to understand. We will always discuss the likely costs of treatment with you before proceeding wherever possible, allowing you to make informed decisions about your pet's care.
Our fees reflect the professional time, experience and clinical expertise required to assess your pet thoroughly and provide the highest standard of veterinary care in the comfort of your own home.
Our Standard Home Consultation fee is £120.
This includes:
Travel to your home within our normal practice area.
Up to 30–40 minutes of dedicated consultation time.
Taking a full medical history.
A comprehensive clinical examination of your pet.
Discussion of our findings and likely diagnosis.
Advice regarding treatment options and prognosis.

A reasonable follow-up telephone call, where appropriate, to discuss your pet's progress or answer questions relating to that consultation.
The consultation fee covers the professional time and expertise involved in assessing your pet and planning its ongoing care.
The consultation fee does not include the cost of medications, laboratory tests or additional procedures.
Additional charges apply where appropriate, including but not limited to:

Where further investigation or treatment is required, your pet may be referred to Bollington Vets for procedures such as:
Digital radiography (X-rays)
Ultrasound examinations
Surgery
Hospitalisation
Advanced diagnostic investigations
A referral administration fee of £30 is payable.
This covers the professional time required to prepare referral documentation, transfer your pet's clinical records, liaise with the receiving veterinary team and coordinate your pet's ongoing care.
All consultation, investigation and treatment fees charged by Bollington Vets are payable directly to Bollington Vets.
