Down the Vets is a small independent mobile practice and I will always do my best to answer telephone calls and provide advice during evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays whenever I am available.
However, there may be occasions when I am unavailable or already attending another patient.
In these circumstances, our designated out-of-hours emergency provider is Vets Now, Macclesfield.
Registered Clients of Down the Vets are welcome to telephone Vets Now for emergency advice. If your pet requires examination or treatment by Vets Now:
You will be responsible for paying all consultation, treatment, investigation and medication fees charged by Vets Now directly to them.
Vets Now also charges Down the Vets an administration fee for providing out-of-hours emergency cover to our registered clients. This fee is currently £75 plus VAT and is passed on to the client at cost. You will therefore receive a separate invoice from Down the Vets for this amount following your pet's emergency treatment.
This arrangement allows our clients to access experienced emergency veterinary care when required while enabling Down the Vets to continue operating as a small independent mobile practice.
To enable us to keep administration simple and devote more time to patient care, all fees are payable at the time of consultation or treatment, unless agreed otherwise in advance.
Payment may be made using the payment methods advised when your appointment is arranged.
The services provided by Vets Now are available only to registered clients of Down the Vets (Jonathan Down Ltd) who have accepted our Terms and Conditions of Business.
Before we are able to provide veterinary services, all clients are required to:

Sign and accept those Terms and Conditions.
Acceptance of our Terms and Conditions establishes the professional agreement between you and Down the Vets and enables us to provide a safe, efficient and high-quality veterinary service for both you and your pets.
